FOCUS (the core of the content to be communicated)

“What comes to your mind when you think ‘God’?” What a great question! It was A.W. Tozer who said something along the lines of, “someone’s honest answer to that question is one of the most important answers a person can ever give.” Depending on who gets asked, the answers can range from “I don’t think about God because I don’t believe there is one” to “the man upstairs” to “a distant & disinterested cosmic mechanic or mechanism” to “the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.”

Today’s message highlights two specific & very significant traits that tell us a big part of who God truly is. Both are crucial to us having an accurate understanding concerning His nature, character & attributes. The only way can know for sure who God really is for Him to tell us. We hear Him do so throughout the Bible.

May today’s “But God” message radically redirect & reconfigure your heart & mind in whatever way both need both.

When it comes to who God truly is, we know that …

1. He is the living God & eternal King.

“The,” not “a,” God. Nor is He one of many gods. / Jeremiah 10:10-11

2. it’s by His power, wisdom & understanding

that the planets, stars & universe came to be.

The living God & eternal King made everything there is. / Jeremiah 10:12-13

Making It Real

1] In what ways do these truths encourage you today?

2] How can meditating on this bring stability to your soul?
